The songs usually follow a verse/chorus format and could easily be a template for adding vocals but i chose not to as the results from an earlier attempt(pre-constant threat) were not horrible, yet were not up to par with my liking. I recorded many batches of songs that have now been deleted or condensed, streamlined. (and the exact constitution of the back catalog may continue to be refined)
The drums were recorded with a yamaha keyboard for the first album, "Dawn of Destruction" and the ones ranging from "Order of The Dragon" to "Macabre Legacy" use a program called WinP drums. Starting with "Return of The Ancient Ones" , I began to use the drum samples from Beta Monkey Double Bass Mania 2, 3 and 4. (Which I will use for all future releases).
So you basically have different phases of Constant Threat. Starting with the rejuvenated and even more badass drum style of "Return of The Ancient Ones" you could almost say the current phase is more like Constant Threat 2.0 in many ways. Also within the span of albums from the time that I did not yet use Beta Monkey drums, there are still some albums which are better and less experimental than others. The first four albums(in my opinion) tend to represent the best of that earlier sound.

<------Classic stuff from the older style Constant Threat

<------ The albums done so far with the new drum samples. Also milestones do to the latter two being the first to feature two rhytm guitar tracks used for the recording. One in each speaker, thus allowing for harmonies etc.
Musically in terms of content, I have very heavy tunes and a few melodic ones as well although there are more heavy songs overall. Its hard to compare the style of a constant threat riff to other bands, but I listen to dozens of metal bands mostly thrash, death and black metal and most likely have become subconciously influenced by them.(the list would be too numerous to mention, and I'm always discovering new bands, so it's always increasing as well)
The albums themselves despite being instrumentals and thus having no lyrics, do still depict events of a sort of continous saga. It begins with Dawn of Destruction and has thus continued in the same fictional universe with each subsequent album. The songtitles reflect this and the album art sets the tone of the type of fictious universe in which the characters reside/events unfold.
